Nature 🌿 is taking back what once belonged to it 😃.
This is how a new, wild and original landscape is created.

Since 1640, sandstone has been mined around Velpke and used to restore destroyed buildings after the Thirty Years' War.

The sandstone was also used to build representative buildings such as the Kohlmarkt fountain and the TU in Braunschweig.

Together with Felizitas and Ulf we went through tropical Velpker Switzerland today. The beautiful crab hole was reached quickly and was circumnavigated for the most part.
