St. Trudpert's Monastery

Highlight • Religious Site

The monastery of St. Trudpert is still in operation and therefore not open to the public, with the exception of the powerful and beautiful parish church. Interesting views of the monastery buildings can be found on the small street above the complex, directly along the monastery wall.

On the marked geological and mining history hiking trail (intermediate stop at the Mooswaldgang and Schwärzhaldestollen, among others), guests and travelers reach the cultural monument Landgasthaus LINDE, which was mentioned in a document in 1642. The gastronomy, with its architecture and its Linden kitchen, is well-known beyond the region. A selection of freshly caught brook trout, Hinterwald beef, cheese from the Glöcknerhof, Black Forest cake and a continuous snack menu.

There is a hiking car park near the village of Spielweg, from there the valley path goes to Staufen, you can go back by train or bus.

Beautiful introductory tour after arriving in the Black Forest; the way there was quite warm 🥵😎, but on the way back there was plenty of water for the two 🐾🐾🐾🐾 to cool off 🌊.
In "Linde" we then had the lunch menu, and prices... 😋😁

Another local walk was on the agenda today.

First, we followed the valley path parallel to the Neumagen stream. You could even call it a riverside hike 😉 until we crossed to Spielweg, crossed to the other side of the valley, and started our return journey up to St. Trudpert Monastery.

It was wonderful again today ☀️🌸🥰

For my taste, this route was much too close to the road and there was far too much walking on asphalt... Münstertal definitely has nicer things to offer...

On the second day, the first tour is a nice, comfortable loop of just under 10 km with only 210 meters of elevation gain from the Hotel Adler in Münstertal via the Kirchweg through Bühl and Stollbächle to Spielweg and back along the valley path at Neumagen with a photo stop at the waterfall. It's small, but nice...

@beautiful circular route also suitable for families. On the way back. Always follow the course of the stream. Finally, use the swing in the water. A small. Refreshment 😃🌞
