The parish church St Nicholas's is Norman in origin, but has been rebuilt subsequently. The tower has chequer-work turrets and in the chancel there are some Sienese wrought iron gates.

The old Flowerpot Inn is a well known pub and restaurant in Aston near Henley on Thames. With a large garden it is very popular, especially during the famous Henley Regatta and Festival. Serving Brakspears beer it is a local favourite and a great stop on a bike ride to or from Henley.

Temple Island is situated 1.5 miles (2.4 km) downstream from Henley-on-Thames on a particularly beautiful stretch of the river. The island marks the start of Henley Royal Regatta Course.

Charming and cheerful village, Henley on Thames is a pretty place for a stop and a coffee break. Just try to avoid the busiest times of day as traffic can be frustrating.

But then, that may just be an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the 16th-century tower of St. Mary's Church on Hart Street before you cross the Thames on the 18th-century five arched Henley Bridge.
