Start of the Swinley Forest Red Trail

This handy bench and information post on Windsor Ride near the Lower Star Post marks the start of the red-rated mountain biking loop at Swinley Forest. The loop finishes really close around the corner too, so it's easy to lap or link up to the blue trail.

There's also a bin, so if you've been good enough to find any trail rubbish, you can deposit it here.

The blue graded mountain bike trail at Swinley Forest is a stunning flowy loop of about six miles (10 km). This section, "Blue 6" is gently downhill with a couple of nice corners.

Swinley Forest Star Post

This delightful finger post sits at the intersection with six directions, two of which are the Devil's Highway, a Roman road. It sits in the midst of Bracknell Forest, a vast area of commons, heathland and plantations.

From here, you can hike and ride in almost any direction on the miles of gravel tracks. The Three Castles Path passes close by.
