The start and finish is at the Mühlenberg hiking car park between Heiligenrode and the Sensenstein. I recommend the round in clockwise direction, then you only have to go down the long ramp at Windhausener Wald. The most beautiful part is then almost exclusively in the forest and the ascent is spread out.
