The Fan waterfall is undoubtedly the best known of the Hérisson waterfalls. Its height and stepped layout make it a very recognizable and rather unique waterfall. It has a secure platform that allows you to observe it without risk.

June 2, 2025,Cascades du Hérisson
Today, I not only saw a lot of water, but also got a lot of it. At one point, it felt like there wasn't a dry spot on my body. The many waterfalls, however, were wonderful. The paths were naturally slippery, and caution was advised. The cascades were simply impressive.

Good little hike, super pretty site, but so many people!
It is better to go there in the morning from what I understood ^^

First drop since the accident for my part, rather happy with the result, the course went well, it pulls a little at rest, but it's ok, I expected worse.

One of the highlights of our vacation. Amazing the falls, a MUST when in the area.

Tuesday July 29 (day 3 Jura 2025) we did a 14 km hike to see the superb Hérisson waterfalls from Menétrux-en-Joux, there were a lot of people on the waterfall trail!

And finally, on a hot summer day, Saturday morning, we headed to the cool, shady waterfalls of one of the most famous destinations in the French Jura: What could possibly go wrong?

Interestingly, it wasn't crowded on a weekend in the Black Forest. It was still okay, and the Cascades du Herisson are really worth a trip.

Beautiful circular route that starts at the spectacular waterfalls and leads back to the car park via a beautiful forest path (and a magnificent viewpoint). Parking is chargeable. The path to the falls was very crowded, but after that it was very quiet. Sturdy shoes required!
