Tong Beck Footpaths

Highlight • Viewpoint

To the East of West Leeds Country Park is a well maintained and picturesque range of footpaths along the length of the Becks from Cockersdale into Farnley/Hough End.
Reasonable parking at both ends and a good selection of paths, so you can avoid having to walk the same footpaths in both directions for most of the length.

Cobbled in parts, a rough track that is like looking a wall from the bottom and off a cliff from the top!!

Black Carr Woods

Highlight • Forest

Within walking distance of the market town of Pudsey, synonymous with Children In Need's Pudsey Bear, Black Carr Woods is a delightful place for a ramble. With myriad trails, pretty little streams, bluebells in the warmer months and wild mushrooms aplenty, it is a classic English wood. Whilst it is highly unlikely you will encounter a bear in Black Carr today, it's easy to believe its wild surroundings were the inspiration for local designer Joanna Lane's famous mascot.
