Kuelscheier Rock Passage

Highlight • Gorge

The Kuelscheier is a group of rocks in the middle of which there is a special attraction: a dark, narrow rock tunnel about 100 meters long that is closed at the top. It was formed when sandstone blocks separated from the rock face along cracks. A spring below the rocks marks the transition from the water-permeable sandstone to the less water-permeable, clayey marls below.
