July 24, 2022,Große Scheuer – Rosenstein - Brücke Runde von Lautern
An absolutely terrific tour with soooo much to see. The start is in Lautern in the butcher's parking lot. At least while the butcher's shop is closed, you can park there. From here it's quite a steep climb, past the Albverein hikers' hut. Before you reach the Große Scheuer, the path also branches off to the right. This is the …

Second break on the way home.
What an incredibly beautiful finish, with views, without end with fabulously beautiful caves.
Simply a thank you @Lexie for this great idea.
Shortly before, it rained heavily and I was really grateful for the railing in the
caves.
Unfortunately, I still got caught, took shelter in a cave and then quickly went through the …

The hike up the Rosenstein has been on my wish list for a long time. We finally completed it on May 1st. It's a fairly leisurely tour with relatively little elevation gain. We gained elevation gain almost everywhere on the way to the caves, so our children dubbed them "cave meters."

Bordering the town of Heubach is one of the most striking mountains in the Ostalb region – a scenic and cultural gem: the Rosenstein.

The Rosenstein offers magnificent viewpoints and a multitude of impressive caves, some of which are accessible year-round. A total of 40 caves are known. This is a truly must-do circular hike.

Small hiking tour with wife, children and a family friend at Rosenstein.
It was fresh and the sun didn't really show itself either. But at least it wasn't completely foggy. Of course, the children had a lot of fun on the rocks and in the caves.

Explored a few caves on the Rosenstein during a circular hike... You can cross the dark hole ☺️ until you reach the lattice 🤣 Stop at the forest tavern for a delicious schnitzel with fries 🍟🥩 and then back to the 🅿️

Used the home visit for an excursion to the Rosenstein. We especially liked it in autumn, but of course the other seasons also have their charms.

I would only recommend staying on the broad main paths in wet weather or snow. Some of the narrow single trails are very steep.

Starting point: Rosenstein hiking car park
