Number 25 in Saxony, Lake Neuhäuser, is a remaining pit from the Holzweißig-West open-cast lignite mine.
It is also called Lake Neuhauser, as it takes its name from the Neuhaus estate, which was demolished in 1976 along with the town of Paupitzsch. Both had to make way for the open-cast mine.

Today's hike was rather frustrating, as I only realized quite late that the planned route wasn't possible because the Komoot route led through a military restricted area. Going around it was too much of an uncertain detour. So I ended up going back the way I came, even though I'd already completed more than half the hike.
