In the center of the town, next to the community hall, an old half-timbered building, there is the village fountain, which is still used by the residents today. The old bakery was restored and looked after by the Oberhasel Bakehouse Association.
The Touringen stamp point 416 is located here.

Benndorf is a desert in the Mötzelbach district of the Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel municipality in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia.
Between the districts of Kirchhasel and Mötzelbach was the Benndorf desert on the northern Saalean heights made of shell limestone.
The Touringen stamp office 415 is also located here.

Church Oberhasel

Highlight • Religious Site

A Romanesque chapel once stood on the site of the village church first mentioned in 1490. In 1496 there was evidence that a priest lived and worked in a parish in the village. The chapel, which probably also functioned as a path chapel, was as large as the current eastern part of the church (choir and sacrament niche including arched windows).

The highlight of the interior is the late Gothic carved altar from around 1490 by a master from Meckfeld. From 1996 this altar was restored. A donor made this possible through the German Foundation for Monument Protection.

"In the footsteps of King Otto"👑 today we followed a very unspectacular stamp tour♟️♟️♟️ through a beautiful autumn forest 🍃🍁🍂

I have no idea who King Otto is; I'd have to google it. In any case, we found the trail boring. We didn't even find some highlights, or they were several hundred meters off the trail. Mushrooms, purple heather, and blueberries were lovely to see.

Start/Finish: Kirchhasel, Riethalgasse
Route: Benndorf deserted village - Oberhasel village fountain - Blöschitz rest area
Before today's rain, I went on a short hike in the footsteps of King Otto I.
The tour mostly went along forest floor, sometimes there were wider and sometimes narrower paths.
The rest area in the Benndorf deserted village is decorated with small, homemade stars …

If you're looking for absolute solitude and peace, this is the place for you. We didn't meet anyone. The hike was nice, but nothing special. I wouldn't do it again.

Showing Translation

Not so attractive as a stamp tour, the paths are mostly sunken paths and well filled with leaves. This makes it difficult to walk in places. There are no places to sit and the signage is inadequate in some places. The village fountain in Oberhasel is lovingly designed and invites you to linger.

Komoot describes this tour as easy, but in my opinion it's not!!! I would rate it as at least moderately difficult or even more!!!! The forest is beautiful and natural. Most of the paths are unpaved and covered with lots of leaves, which is normal at this time of year. Due to the steep incline and decline, there is a …
