We parked in Selm and immediately headed to the Sandfort Forest, which we walked through on an old railway line. The forest to the left and right is partly under water, still bearing the frost of the last few days. It is interesting how the road tunnel and, a little later, the Stever with an underpass lead under the DEK.

I'd had this tour saved for a while. It started at Ternscher See, a former gravel pit.

The route follows many small streams, passes through lovely residential areas, and crosses the railway tracks several times. The detour through the Selm floodplain park is definitely worth taking. There are some cool features, and the hill offers a great view.
