I'm learning that total kilometers and elevation are not the most telling of metrics. Of importance is the path surface. A km or elevation doesn't record obstacles and large rocks on the surface which increases effort. You also don't account for when you have to carry or push your bike. In this case, both were significant. I've got body vibration …
Caution: From Alpe Scopello (after Alpe Camasca) towards Alpe Gignerra, the trail has been destroyed by heavy rain, and you'll have to push your bike for about 200 meters of elevation gain (we gave up and turned back).
The same goes for Quarna Sotto; don't take the detour to Vasca Ivorio, as the trail is destroyed.
