Route from Buenavista Del Norte, to the top at Santiago del Teide (just missed). Some very steep parts and in combination with the heat and the planned bike rides the following days we decided not to cycle all the way up. Environment is very worthwhile.

Great descent towards the coast. After that it goes steadily uphill. The climb is easily manageable (6-7%) until you reach Maca. The subsequent ascent from Masca is really only feasible for well-trained legs! That really hurt. It's a good 3-4km uphill at min 10%. In addition, there is the traffic, which is not exactly little.
