April 19, 2025,Moselradweg 2: Trier nach Bernkastel-Kues
Day 2 of our Moselle Cycle Route.
Incredibly beautiful weather, a very varied route along the river, through vineyards and tranquil villages, with cherry trees in bloom, Germany's oldest city, Trier, at the beginning, and the half-timbered houses of Bergkastel-Kues at the end of this stage.
Highly recommended are the "Warsberger Weinhof" in Neumagen-Dhron and "Ti's Café" in Minheim. Two …

I left home by car at 5:30 a.m.
In Trier, there's a free P+R parking lot, right next to the bike path.
The first 10.12 km aren't that great, partly through an industrial area.
But then it gets nice :-)
Then comes the wilder part of the Moselle Cycle Path.
Since it's Father's Day, there are also lots of handcart …

In addition to the many castles, half-timbered houses and vineyards, the flood markings on the buildings were also interesting. You can't even imagine how wide the river …

Day 2 of the Eifel and Mosel Collection.

Today's tour took us along the Moselle River. Starting in Trier and ending in Bernkastel-Kues. There was plenty to see and discover along the tour. There are also more than enough places to stop for refreshments along the route.

Today it was time for Trier – a lovely ride along the Moselle, which makes for a very relaxing ride 😉👍
There are swans 🦢 snacking on grapes here (well, we're in the wine country on the Moselle 😃)
Trier was quite busy – something you're not used to as a Vogtlander 😉 - Trier is definitely worth seeing 👍 …
