Trencrom Hill

Highlight • Natural Monument

The magnificence of Trencrom Hill isn't necessarily its height, which only extends to 660 feet (200 m), but rather its positioning. Not far from the north Cornwall coastline, from the summit you can see white sand beaches, glistening water and ships trundling along England's Atlantic coast.

The hill is also the site of an Iron Age hillfort and has a jumble of granite rocks. If you're confident scrambling up them, then your view is even better.

Knill's Monument

Highlight • Viewpoint

Knill's Monument is a commemoration to former mayor John Knill of the late 18th century. The monument was built by the well-known architect John Wood, who was the designer of the Royal Crescent in Bath.

The location of the monument provides some magnificent views across the picturesque Cornish coastline toward St Ives and Carbis Bay.

St. Michael's Mount

Highlight • Castle

As you make your way along the coast between Longrock and Marazion you'll be afforded some exquisite views of the sensational St Michael's Mount.

St Michael's Mount is an island off the coast of Marazion featuring a medieval church, castle, and pristine gardens. The island is reachable by a tidal path and is only accessible during low tide for a few hours a day. If you're looking to visit the island (which is highly recommended), check tide times to avoid disappointment.

Follow an ancient cobbled causeway over the water to the magnificent St Michael's Mount in West Cornwall.

The causeway is only safe to cross for a few hours at low tide, so it's essential to check the tide times before visiting. cornwalls.co.uk/weather/marazion-tide-times.htm
