Jesolo vs. Lio Maggiore river view

Highlight • Structure

Beautiful stretch along the Sile river. This watercourse originates near Treviso and, after crossing the Venetian plain to Jesolo, flows into the Adriatic Sea. The Sile is the longest resurgence river in Europe. In its final stretch the river laps the Venice lagoon giving life to a unique environment of its kind. The constant flow of the waters and the mild current are characteristics of the Sile that have made it navigable since ancient times. More recent evidence of this past are the wrecks of some burci, boats for river transport, which can be seen at the so-called "Burci cemetery", just outside Treviso. Although the wrecks are quite recent, having been abandoned around 1975, the arrangement of the walkways and the surrounding scenery make the experience very suggestive.

Riviera of the Old Piave

Highlight • River

it is one of the oldest and still one of the most beautiful routes that start from San Donà-Musile: about 6 KM that lead to Caposile to meet the Green Way Lagoon and which flank the old course of the Piave which flows into the Sile at Caposile, precisely. Beautiful in every season, a gym and path at all hours for cyclists, pedestrians and fishermen, it alternates views of the river, the vineyards and the riverbank groves. A wealth of our landscape

Very nice landscape tour. Challenging but satisfying

Beautiful round on the Piave bike path and back on the Piave Veccia. To the right of Fiume Sile there is a single trail/dirt track on the embankment. You can ignore the detour via Via Roma Destra, here Komoot showed side streets, which were then private roads. Worth seeing: Piave and Piave Veccia from the cycle path and the lifting …

I mostly followed the GPX track of the "Sapore di mare" route downloaded from "Gravel in the Land of Venice"
gravelinthelandofvenice.com/percorso-sapore-di-mare
section dedicated to the province of Venice, which I highly recommend, then I added and partially removed parts of the route for personal needs and interests.
This route is suitable for those who love cycle tourism.

The part of the route on the right side of the Piave is in fact a path where only one bike passes at a time and if you cross someone you often have to stop sideways. Furthermore, the grass has not been cut and freed from branches and brambles ... too bad. alternative is the S.P....hip no.
From Cortellazzo onwards …
