Sylwester Chęciński was born in Susiec - the director of the famous trilogy: "Sami Swoi", "Nie ma mocnych" and "Love it or throw it", in which actors Wacław Kowalki and Władysław Hańcza brilliantly created heroes. Some say that the prototypes of Kargul and Pawlak come from Susiec. It is here that two families allegedly lived side by side, fiercely suing over a foot-wide strip of land. Therefore, at the entrance to Susiec, a monument to Kargul and Pawlak was erected, which reminds us of this meaningful Polish comedy.
