Poingt-Ravier, a small settlement of several houses (hamlets) and much older than Valloire, lies above Valloire, about 200 meters higher. A plaque on one of the abandoned houses showed that Poingt-Ravier had 164 inhabitants in 1829. By 1936, this had shrunk to 42 residents. In the following years, Poingt-Racier was partly completely uninhabited. …
