Why is that called "on the donkey" here? The answer is: There used to be not this beautiful road here, but a steep path that the carters had to climb. The path was so steep that a donkey always had to be ready here to be harnessed to the carts because otherwise they would not get up here. In addition, there was always a saddled donkey waiting here in case the Baroness von Nesselrode felt the need to go to the forest.
