Complete with a privy! And it’s a 10/10 privy here, friends. Fully stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. There was no complimentary newspaper, but there WAS a Leave No Trace poster on the wall inside, so that counts for something I guess. Note that if you’re planning on making a 2am dash from your tent to this gem of a privy here, this campsite is for tents only, and if you want to spend the night here (as well as anywhere else in Inyo National Forest) you must obtain a permit via Rec.Gov. Search for Inyo National Forest permits, then select your entry/exit location as “Piute Pass”. Easy peasy, lemon cheesy.

Junction to Piute Pass and Lamarck Col

Highlight • Trail

Here lies the junction to Piute Pass or Lamarck Col. The junction is slightly further up the trail than indicated on the map, so don’t walk into the campsite that the map would have you explore and wonder why you can’t find the trail. You know you’ve gone the correct way when you cross a lovely little bridge over North Fork Bishop Creek. It looks like someone worked really hard on this bridge. Thank you someone!
