Rock Arch in the Kamenice Gorge

Nestled in the dense green of Bohemian Switzerland, the Edmund Trail leads along the rushing Kamnitz River through the narrow gorges of the Edmundsklamm. This picturesque hiking trail is an experience for all the senses. The constant, soothing sound of water echoing off the steep rock faces and the occasional chirping of birds from above accompany the hiker on this path.

Parts of the path are so narrow that wooden walkways and bridges have been constructed to allow visitors to pass through. In certain sections you can even go on small boats piloted by boatmen who tell interesting stories and legends about the area.

The high sandstone cliffs that rise on either side are often covered in moss and ferns, creating an impressive display of light and shadow as the sun's rays filter through the trees.

At the end of the path you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the surrounding forests and hills, glowing in all shades of green and embodying the true beauty and tranquility of this part of the Czech Republic.

The Wild Gorge has recently reopened. However, access is only possible from Stimmersdorf/Mezna. The boat trip begins and ends at the lower point. On the path above the boat trip, there is a risk of falling trees. Nevertheless, the tour is an experience in summer weather.
