The Storga Park was created through a recovery and environmental arrangement of the former Azienda Agricola Provincia Sant'Artemio, formerly the Ergotherapy Colony of the Psychiatric Hospital of Sant'Artemio.
The project idea takes shape with the preparation of the operational program "Risorgive Storga Program", which in 1991 received the special prize of the Commission of the European Communities for "Best Planning Document". The Risorgive Storga Program provided for the gradual recovery of the area from a naturalistic point of view with environmental restoration interventions, including the construction of a wetland area and the restoration of the paleo-riverbed of the Rio Piavone, the planting of forest formations with indigenous species and to naturalistic address on 49 hectares and the enhancement of the so-called "prai de acqua".
