Bars Lane Bridleway

Highlight • Viewpoint

This track from Sea View Farm is ace to start, a wide double track, but as you get towards Otterton Brook on the bridleway the track degrades into literally the stream bed. If you take the track to Pinn Lane it's more like a drainage ditch than track. Not for the feint hearted!

Great little place to stop on the way to high peak settlement and trig point. I stop here with a flask on a walk or tap it on a run as a waypoint

High Peak Trig Point

High Peak (also known as Peak Hill) is a hill that’s partially eroded, resulting in a cliff face, on the English Channel coast to the southwest of Sidmouth. Its highest point is about 515 feet (157 m) above sea level. It's home to a partially eroded Iron Age hill fort, with pre-Roman and post-Roman pottery found there.

Ladram Bay Sea Stacks

Highlight • Natural Monument

The sight of Ladram Bay's red sandstone sea stacks has to be one of the finest on the South Devon coast. The rock that they're made of dates back to the Triassic Period, some 220 million years ago. As is the case with much of the Jurassic Coast, the rocks are treasure troves of prehistoric reptile remains.

Ladram is a beautiful bay with towering red sandstone stacks. It’s right on the South West Coast Path and the running is excellent.

There’s a huge holiday park here with many amenities. Great place to bring the kids.
