Brine graduation tower in Zembrzyce

Highlight • Structure

The only graduation tower in the Sucha Beskidzka poviat has recently been operating in Zembrzyce.
It is located in the "Nad Potokiem Paleczka" Recreation Center.
The advantages of the graduation tower, especially for the inhabitants of mountain areas, have been known and recommended for many years. A graduation tower is a structure made of coniferous wood and branches, usually blackthorn, on which brine flows downwards pumped upwards, i.e. mineral water containing a large number of sodium ions, magnesium salts and iodine and bromine compounds.

Manor in Zembrzyce

Highlight • Historical Site

At the beginning of the 19th century, the village was owned by Stanisław Ostrzeszowicz of the Leliwa coat of arms, who built a manor house that has survived to this day in the years 1807-1810.
The residence belonged to the Znamięcki family from 1830 to the 1890s, later it was owned by Zofia Targowska, who in 1895 sold the local property to the Habsburg family from Żywiec.
In the 1930s, the Habsburgs rented the residence as an orphanage for children and the offices of the Jordanów forest district, and in 1938 they divided the property and sold the land to local residents.
In the second half of In the 1980s, the manor house housed a kindergarten run by nuns, and from 1961 a state-run, closed in the 1990s. The unused monument quickly fell into ruin. In 2005, the building and the adjacent plot of 32 ares were sold to Caritas of the Archdiocese of Krakow.
Currently, there are occupational therapy workshops for disabled people run by Caritas of the Archdiocese of Krakow.
In the building of Dwór Zembrzyce it is possible to rent rooms. On the first floor, there are 12 double rooms with bathrooms and an apartment with a bathroom and a kitchenette.
Rooms are rented by JDG "GIFT OF THE HEART"

A typical Beskid trail

Highlight • Trail

Trail for mtb but gravel does the trick. Few stones, paved road, but there are often puddles and it is best to carry a bike. Mountain views from time to time.
