Cycling Route With Sea View

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A wonderful route running for the most part from Miedzyzdroje along the sea. Then through the forest. Very well marked, wide. The road before Świnoujście is covered with dark, thick stones, the ride is a bit uncomfortable, fortunately not for long. On the way to visit the underground city (in the forest) and the observation tower. In Świnoujście after crossing to the other side of the city by ferry (free, cars too) many attractions on the way to the border. On the way you can rest at the graduation towers.

Nice off-road bike path, but a bit crowded in the season when the weather is nice

Ahlbeck Promenade Bike Path

If you like it a bit more stylish and sophisticated, run along the promenade in Ahlbeck and marvel at the great Wilhelminian style villas of the former imperial baths.

Cycle path along the Usedom Baltic Sea coast

The coastal cycle path runs along the Baltic Sea coast from the seaside resort of Karlshagen to the Baltic Sea resort of Ahlbeck. In this way, all the seaside resorts on the island can be reached by bike in a quiet, comfortable and direct way: After the Baltic Sea resort of Karlshagen, cyclists can reach the Baltic Sea resorts in the north of the island Trassenheide and Zinnowitz, then the four Usedom amber baths of Zempin, Koserow, Kölpinsee/Loddin and Ückeritz and then through the imperial baths of Bansin, Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck. After crossing the imperial baths, the coastal cycle path leads across the German-Polish border to the part of the western Polish port of Swinemünde on Usedom. Trained cyclists can take the Swinemünde city ferry to the neighboring island of Wollin and explore the cycle paths on Wolin.

This is where the beautiful szuterix by the sea ends. Or start whatever you prefer. In any case, there is a quiet BEACH here and a nice one. I recommend 👍

Fully grazed gravel overlooking the sea. Let Świnoujście do its part because it's a shame ....

June 12, 2024,Świnoujście / Swinemünde: Auf dem EuroVelo 10 (R10) nach Miedzyzdroje / Misdroy und zurück
Today we cycled to Międzyzdroje and later back again. The R10 is a wonderful place to cycle and the route is also excellently signposted.

The ferry from Swinoujscie to Wolin and back is free for pedestrians and cyclists.

I had never heard of the R10 before and only read after our tour through research on the Internet that the entire …

The R10 cycle path mostly runs through a forest area. The paths are partly filled with gravel, but partly also with powder sand. This makes it a bit difficult to drive, especially in one place it goes very steeply uphill and back down through loose sand. The only thing that helps here is pushing. Even with an e-bike.

During the tour there was a lot of complaining from my wife 😂 because we were only traveling with simple bikes 🚲

Today's cross-border tour starts in Heringsdorf on Usedom. In glorious sunshine, we head up the Baltic Sea promenade to the Heringsdorf pier. We quickly snap two pictures and then head east again. Our destination for today is Poland. After a few kilometers, we reach Ahlbeck. With its many villas and hotels, it's a lovely place for a day trip, just …

The path should not be underestimated; the original route 10 is very natural, rocky and sandy - and the hills add up in altitude.

Hello, a really fantastic tour! But it's important to know...
Currently there is no cycle path on this route on the way back from Wollin to Swinoujscie due to a really big construction site, so you have to cycle for about 9 kilometers directly (only separated by a marking) next to/on a highway. About 2 kilometers of that are directly …

A very nice tour, but the way back from Swinoujscie to Międzyzdroje on the normal road is a disaster because of the current major construction site. Take the way back like the way there, through the forest, with the Baltic Sea always visible.
This is my personal recommendation at the moment.

Highly recommended bike tour. The long way along the coast and through the beautiful forest is so beautiful !!! Ferry free of charge and easily possible by bike without long waiting times. The border between Poland and Germany is nice to look at and ☕a must in one of the numerous cafes on the promenade😊
