In 1716 the castle was described as a kind of residential tower with a farm. In the second half of the 18th century, the park was created, which nowadays lies mainly on Dutch territory and is called Moretusbos there. In 1810 the castle was rebuilt in neo-Louis XV style. This is the middle section of the current castle. Around this time the name Ravenhof appeared for the first time. From 1911-1920, the then owner Charles Moretus Plantin had two side wings built. Some time after the expansion, the castle came into the possession of the Assumptionist Fathers and was given the name Assumptionhof. In 1979 the castle came to the municipality of Stabroek.
