Stoanerne Mandln (Stone Cairns)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Driving up the "Stoanernen Mandln" is exhausting, but also a unique experience. With the countless cairns and the 360-degree panorama right in front of the Dolomites, this place is definitely the highlight on the Tschöggelberg.

Almost a must to have been here once. It's really fascinating how much effort and work goes into building up all the males. Great photo spot.

Jenesier Jöchl Alpine Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Jenesier Jöchl-Alm is a snack station on the Tschögglberg in the Sarntal Alps. The alp is located south of the Stoanernen Mandln. The Kaiserschmarren is especially delicious here.

Today we had a fantastically beautiful tour to the Stoanerne Mandln at 2000 m⛰️. The route was incredibly varied, with everything from trails to roads.

From sunshine🌞 to a few drops of rain🌦, the weather also had a wide variety.

The trail descents were super fun😀 and challenging in places.

So the grin is still on my face.😅

Tour with fantastic views ...
Only the first third of the section from the Stoanerne Mandl to the Jöchl Jenesienen is unsuitable for MTB (blocks of stone, etc.)
From the Jöchl Jenesiener went back comfortably on forest roads. Forgot to record🙈 Food was too good at the hut.

I discarded some nonnocarb laps because they were too far away, I opted for my classic Edelweiss-Möltner Kaser-Omini di pietra. I didn't think, however, that the wind and high temperatures had transformed December 30th into mid-April :-) The descent …
