View of British Camp Reservoir

Highlight • Viewpoint

This is a man-made reservoir that lies at the foot of the Iron Age hillfort known as British Camp, which gives the reservoir its name. It was constructed in the late 19th century to supply water to the surrounding areas, including Malvern, which is well-known for its pure spring water.

Hangman's Hill

Highlight • Trail

Hangman's Hill is amongst the Malvern Hills, on the long ridge of the hills with its top on the border of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It lies to the south of Broad Down and north of Swinyard Hill. The western, Herefordshire, slope descends into the News Wood.

The Shire Ditch runs across the top, on its way north to the Worcestershire Beacon.

Clutter's Cave

Highlight • Viewpoint

Hermits caves are dotted all over the malverns from the days they used to be used as overnight shelters. Not sure of the facts on this one but I was informed it was people who stayed in them overnight protecting the Worcester and Gloucester borders as they were owned by 2 squabbling land owners.
