The use as a council house, initially also as a court house for Ober-Ingelheim, lasted until the municipal amalgamation of the three old Ingelheim village communities in 1939. 1994 conversion to a kindergarten.
The market square, which belongs to the early settlement core, is located with the town hall in the historical center of Ober-Ingelheim. The war memorial from 1870/71, which replaced the old market fountain, was moved to the castle church in 1970. Since 2009 a new fountain by Wiesbaden artist Benedikt Solga has adorned the market square. He presents Ingelheim as the city of wine, asparagus and cherries.
Every year the new red wine queen is crowned on the balcony of the old town hall in Ober-Ingelheim and the popular red wine festival is opened. 🚴
