At the heart of this idea is an old freight car - scene of cultural events and political discussions, which since 2008 take place there several times a week under the direction of HfG students.
Since 2010, the double helix of graduate designer Frank Flaskämper marks the other end of the cultural track. Flaskämper is a graduate of the product design department of the HfG. His large sculpture of rails and sleepers recalls the shape of the human genome.
