In the Hooksmeer there are several sports boat harbors, a sailing school with pedal boat rental, a surf bay with surf school and the water ski lift system, making Hooksiel very popular with water sports enthusiasts.
On the other side of the newly created dike, a fine sandy beach and a large campsite extend over a length of approx. 4 km. There are sections for nudism on both facilities. A sea water indoor wave pool and a guest house with a children's play area and a well-stocked library complete the offer.
The place is not only a paradise for every water sports enthusiast, but also a magnet for horse lovers: year after year, the big harness racing events with their incomparable flair are exceptional highlights.
