We thought maybe we'd spot them on the Bee-eater Trail... and sure enough, several people with "superior optics" had already gathered at the observation hut. And the subjects for photography, Merops apiaster, were also audible and visible in some individuals. Around Pentecost, such hordes of photographers were said to have gathered that the Bee-eaters and Hoopoes abandoned their breeding plans.
