The Cöthen Park
is based on an idea by Carl Friedrich von Jena. Following his instructions, the gorge, now wooded with enormous beech trees, through which the Cöthen stream meanders towards Falkenberg, was transformed into a landscape park in the 1820s.

Remnants of the park, consisting of an old waterwheel and a waterfall, can be found in the source area of the picturesque stream.

A fantastic area... highly recommended.

Waterwheel in Cöthen Park

Highlight • Monument

The waterwheel was built by Carl von Jena in 1925/26 and drove a piston pump to supply Cöthen with water. It is now located in a fauna-flora-habitat protection area with hill spring moor and floodplain forests. At the place where the waterfall is today, von Jena once set up a Roman bath for his family.

From Falkenberg MOL to Werneuchen. Nice hike with many lakes and swimming areas.

BALM FOR SCREEN EYES

Decreasing vision. Headaches. Burning eyes. Tiredness. Extremely high screen usage. Our eyes perform at their peak every day.

On tours like these, our eyes jump for joy.

👀 Clear view.
👀 See green.
👀 See far.

All of this relaxes the muscles in the eyes.

Balm for screen eyes.

Today we went from Leuenberg to Falkenberg in great weather.
A very nice hike with easy to walk paths.
You hardly see any people. It was wonderfully quiet.

I highly recommend this route, I really liked it.

36° AND IT'S STILL GOING 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

At such temperatures you don't necessarily have to move more than necessary. But you can. It doesn't get any cooler in a deck chair or lying at the bathing lake. At least not significantly.

For the 25th anniversary, I completed a section of the 66 Lakes Trail with @Heiner and @Cornell Paasche.

The trail took us along various routes with lakes and, unfortunately, without any of the lakes that were here 25 years ago.

See the complete tour at @Frank Meyer and @visitbrandenburg.

You can't let such a dream spring day go by unused, so we went on to the next 66 lakes stage.
The tour starts at a beautiful orchard meadow area and leads directly to the first small lake, the Röthsee. Today it doesn't work to the left ;-) so to the right .. it's good if there are two options. …

It was a joyful, wonderful tour with a winter hiking feeling, touching places and incredibly beautiful light. Highly Recommended.
