Avon Valley Railway at Bitton Station

Highlight • Historical Site

Home of the Avon Valley Railway - interesting stop around whether on a walk - cycling on Bath to Bristol cycleway or just popping in by car. Nice cafe for tea and food.

Bitton Railway Station and Café

Highlight • Structure

Great stop for the brilliant cafe, or to quickly use their loos. Some bike parking is available. Steam trains run along the track on a number of months, which is a lovely sight. Be careful when crossing the track though!

Bristol and Bath Railway Path

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The perfect route to go traffic-free from Bath to Bristol. It follows the route of the former Midland Railway, which was established in the mid-19th century to connect the two cities.

Longwell Green Climb and Descent

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

A nice alternative way to go out/return from the countryside east of Bristol. My favourite as descent as you've got lovely views out in front of you and nice smooth tarmac with a few nice turns to enjoy at speed.
