This tour was more strenuous than expected. The first half to La Radonne was rather boring, with asphalt roads, lots of residential houses and hotel complexes. But then it really got going, steep climbs and descents through rugged rocky landscapes along the Côte Bleue, stony paths over smooth but also sharp-edged limestone cliffs. Another great walk within striking distance from Marseille.
We took the train from Sausset-les-Pins (45 mins from Marseille-Saint-Charles and followed the coastal path heaidng East.
Quite different from out hike in the Calanques the other day - plenty of villages and tarmac, but it was worth it to admire the houses. Plenty of money around here!
