Yes, it's a problem and it's the only way through on the "Robin Hood Way". Helps if there are two of you.
If on your own, then you need to be able to get your bike over your head and then you can walk through the kissing gate.

Linby Village Main Street

There's a rumour that pancakes were invented in Linby when the villagers freed themselves from Danish conquerers but it's a bit doubtful to be honest. What it is today is a really cute village that won't fail to surprise you as you ride through. The Horse & Groom is a really welcoming pub with a lovely garden and they're very happy for you to take your bikes around the back. As the village is deemed a Conservation Area, it has stayed largely unspoilt and has two streams running down both sides of the village's main street. There are stone cottages and a beautifully restored church that dates back to the 13th century.
