Ladhar Bheinn from the Shore of Loch Hourn

A very accessible place that is genuinely at the end of the road - but what views! Look across Loch Hourn and Barrisdale Bay to one of Scotland's finest mountains, the magnificent Ladhar Bheinn. This place is so quiet and peaceful, but the scenery is majestic.

A 1km detour before committing to the remote Kinloch Hourn saga will take you to a small corrugated iron shed. Inside are sofas, a woodburning stove and great home baking by Sheena and outside is this magnificent view across the loch to Knoydart.

Rocky Shoreline with Seaweed near Corran

Highlight • Beach

To be honest, the whole old coast path from Corran is just worth it. But these beaches come with high mountains around and very colourful algae adds to the flair. Worth walking down there. There trail is generally in good shape, but comes with man high fern and some boggy areas in places. So take your boots ;-)
