View of Harlech Beach

Highlight • Viewpoint

Stunning viewpoint over Harlech Beach from a footpath leading you to the Wales Coast Path providing direct access to the beach.

Harlech Beach offers a pristine four-mile expanse of golden sand, framed by breathtaking vistas of the Snowdonia mountain range and bordered by lush grassy dunes.

There’s a flat grassy plateau here, just off the path, for you to sit and admire the sweeping views.

I guarantee your thoughts will be occupied by wondering why this microwave has been embedded into a drystone wall for, at least, the next ten miles.

Barmouth Beach

Highlight • Beach

The cleanest beach I have seen by far. Great beach for a stroll as you can make it as short or as long as you like, while the tides out you can walk all the way up to Shell island. Lots of sand dunes to climb, and plenty of places to stop for food and drinks.

View of Barmouth Harbour

Highlight • Beach

Barmouth is a seaside town at the mouth of the Afon Mawddach. There is a large sandy beach and pretty promenade to ride along. Lots of shops and cafes, I recommend the Mermaid fish and chip shop which is open 12:00 - 20:00 every day.
