This was a truly epic hike, absolutely stunning scenery, but I think this should 100% be rated as difficult, not intermediate. This trail should not be attempted without snowshoes; hiking poles or an ice axe would also be a good idea. We hiked this route in the spring, and 90% of the way we were trudging through deep compacted snow …
