Dunollie Lighthouse

Highlight • Historical Site

Quite small, easily missed from the road, but walk just along past the war memorial and you will find it. Benches nearby to sit and enjoy the views.

Beautiful vantage point below Dunollie Castle, with a view over the waterway to Kerrera Island with the top of Hutcheson's Monument and the small Maiden Island. We had a wonderful evening here with a gigantic sunset including passing birds and canoeists.

Oban Distillery & Visitor Centre

Highlight • Monument

Oban Distillery is both one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and one of the smallest with just two pot stills. Pre-dating the town of Oban, it was originally established in 1794 by brothers John and Hugh Stevenson. It underwent a refurbishment in the 1890s and there has been little change to the present buildings since then. The distillery's tours offer visitors the chance to witness the traditional craftsmanship of whiskey production first-hand before enjoying complimentary drams of the Oban 14 year old West Highland Malt
