Black Hill Trig Point

Highlight • Summit

Well worth a visit for the views. From Crowcrombe Gate the climb is relatively and steady but loose in places but well worth the effort, when you get to the top.

The Drove Road (Quantock Hills)

Highlight (Segment) • Forest

The Drove Road is an avenue of Beech trees which was originally used by ancient traders to transport goods and livestock to the port at Watchet.

If you keep your eyes peeled you can see cairns and barrows which mark the graves of Bronze Age settlers.

The Chimney

Highlight • MTB Park

Lovely down hill classic section with a nice rock section to negotiate about a third of the way down. slightly tamed at the bottom section after some forestry works but well worth a go.

Frog Wood

Highlight (Segment) • Forest

Frog Wood is another of the sublime little singletrack trails that the Quantocks is renowned for. Fast and open before it runs into the woods, it maintains its speed, but gives you the odd rooty obstacle to negotiate before it emerges at the top of Holford Combe.

Bridleway Climb Out of Adscombe

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Make sure you are fuelled up with cake for this one! A little leg burner to get out of the valley. Lovely in autumn with colours of the seasons around you. Mostly hard pack and wide, great for gravel or xc.
