Tŷ Hyll (The Ugly House) Tearoom

Highlight • Cafe

Despite being rather beautiful, the Ugly House, or Tŷ Hyll in Welsh, is a curious building indeed. Home to an atmospheric tearoom, it is surrounded by five acres (2 ha) of ancient woodland and offers well-maintained footpaths to explore the wild flowers, nesting birds and abundant wildlife nearby. Interestingly, though, nobody knows for sure who built it or when. For more information and opening times, visit: visitllandudno.org.uk/things-to-do/ty-hyll-the-ugly-house-p284731

Tu Hwnt i'r Bont Tearoom

A cosy small tearoom in Capel Curig. Incredible cakes, good coffee and light meals served by friendly staff. The garden outside is beautiful and full of bee friendly plants.

Gwydir Mawr MTB Trail – Forest Section

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Relatively pleasant undulating part of the route, never too tricky.

Llyn Parc

Highlight • Forest

This stunning lake is surprisingly close to the bustling village of Betws-y-Coed, yet has a remarkably serene feel to it.

The long, narrow lake is surrounded by the thick Gwydyr Forest, with a walking path down the eastern shore.

A gravel fire road is perfect for cycling nearby, touching the shore at the southern end where you'll find the dam.

Moch yn Hedfan MTB Singletrack

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The first descent of the Gwydir Mawr & Bach mtb trails.

Tip by

19.1 km

Hard for the grade red downhill track. Drops and more await you as part of the finale to the classic Gwydir trails. Often ridden as part of a shorter ride "mini Marin".

Tip by
