Bridlington Promenade and Beach

Highlight • Viewpoint

There is a wide paved bridleway along Bridlington's north promenade or you can opt to cycle on the road. Here you can find the start/finish point of the Way of the Roses, a coast to coast cycling route that starts in Morecombe.

There are lovely views north across to South Landing and Flamborough Head from the promenade. South gives you a more touristy seaside vista with the pier and ferris wheel on the horizon.

Watch out for dogs and walkers on the bike path!

A tarmac cycle path links Bridlington with Sewerby. The path stretches along the cliff and provides great views south towards Bridlington beachfront and north towards Flamborough Head.

Although there is a separate path for pedestrians, some walkers do end up on the cycle path so do take care not to ride too fast. Don't let this put you off as it really is great up here.

The official start or end (depending on direction of travel) for the Way of the Roses route. Bridlington beach is a great place to start or end any route, especially the WotR.

It's very close to the train station and lots of car parking so an ideal start point. Plus there are plenty of great fish and chip options for if you're finishing here too.
