I can recommend it, the entry is very narrow. Only walks on all fours 😀

Gillin's Beach

Highlight (Segment) • Beach

A beach straight out of a picture book. Over 1km of yellow sand 🤩 wonderful to stroll along, preferably barefoot with water cooling 😊 but not too far in, otherwise you'll get wet 🙈

Absolutely worth going to the point, past the Pa’a dunes and Kawailoa Beach - almost nobody else there. Unbelievable.

Wailua Complex of Heiaus

Highlight • Historical Site

The Wailua Complex on Kauai island was once the epicenter of political, social, and spiritual life for ancient Hawaiian royalty. Wailua served as one of two main hubs where Kauai's paramount chief lived and ruled for much of the year. The area contains a wealth of significant archaeological sites that provide a window into its esteemed past. The Wailua Complex of Heiaus consists of several important structures including the Hikinaakala, Holoholoku, Malae, and Poliahu heiaus (ancient Hawaiian places of worship), the Hauola puʻuhonua (a refuge site), ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs etched into stone, a rock believed to be a royal birthstone, and a bellstone .

Shipwreck Beach

Highlight • Beach

Shipwreck Beach has this name because Kaiolohia Bay’s coral reef has wrecked numerous ships along its shore, and there is still the hull of a ghostly oil tanker from the 1940s stuck there. This is a good beach for surfing, but not so much for swimming because of the high waves. The beach has some amenities, such as showers, picnic tables, and restrooms.
