Quite a lot of traffic, but a beautiful view of Lake Zurich - naturally unsurpassed as a shortcut between Rapperswil and Pfäffikon.

Hike across a wooden walkway to the Hurden Peninsula. Or take a boat trip on Lake Zurich. Visit Knie's Children's Zoo. Or simply explore the old town on a walking tour.

The historic town of Rapperswil offers many possibilities. The waterfront promenade is lined with bars and cafés and there is a lot of activity to see and be seen. The lake dam that separates the Obersee and the Untersee here also makes it possible to shorten laps around Lake Zurich.

Always nice view from the bridge! On both sides of the bridge there are bike paths / walking paths along the Linth Canal, to Ziegelbrücke resp. up to the confluence with the Obersee, everything perfectly flat.

Schloss Grynau and country inn

Highlight • Castle

Grynau Castle is a medieval low castle on the Linth near Uznach and Schmerikon, built in the 13th century. Part of the fortress during World War II. Changed in the Linth correction (new river course, bridge now between castle and tower).
The tower is still preserved (from the 13th century), formerly owned by Zurich, Toggenburg and Habsburg, then transferred to the property of the Canton of Schwyz. Next to it the country inn (closed Tues / Wed), moderate feedback on the internet (!?)
