Edworthy Park Bridge Sunset Viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

The bridge here is a great connection to the other side of the river. You can choose which side of the river you want to continue your journey. Going from here towards downtown, you can go on either side of the river.

Prince's Island Park

Highlight • Rest Area

Prince's Island Park is a recreational park located north of downtown Calgary on an island in the Bow River.

The park is named after Peter Anthony Prince, the founder of Eau Claire Lumber Mill. It was established in 1947 by the Prince family. The park covers 20 hectares and features several pedestrian bridges that connect directly to downtown Calgary. In addition to green spaces and parkland, it offers benches and views of the Calgary skyline. Canada geese and mallards have made the park their home.

Peace Bridge (Calgary)

Highlight • Bridge

Look out for the beavers that live on the bank of the Bow river and can be seen from the bridge and vicinity. Great spot for a picnic if you have mozzie spray at the ready.

Nose Creek Park

Highlight • Natural

Nose Creek Park preserves a beautiful stretch of the upper creek valley in northwest Calgary. Its unpaved, informal trails wind alongside the creek, weaving through grasslands and wetland areas. Unlike the more developed parks downstream, this space offers a more natural experience. The setting is open and minimally developed, with native vegetation and plenty of wildlife that reflect the typical prairie environment of Calgary.
