Spechtritzgrund

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

The Spechtritzgrund is the section between the Rabenauer Grund (staircase at the mill weir) and the Langegrundbach, which forms the border with the Seifersdorfer Grund. Rock formations can be seen on both sides, through which the Rote Weißeritz has created its riverbed over millions of years. The Lübauer Gründel flows into the Grund.

A hiking trail follows the entire length of the Grund from the Langegrund bridge to the mill weir of the Rabenauer mill. The path is suitable for hiking. Access by bicycle, wheelchair or stroller is restricted by the stairs at the Rabenauer mill weir. The Grund is reached by the Weißeritztalbahn, the Spechtritz stop.

Since I still had some time before the ride down to the valley, I hiked to the Rabenauer Mill. Here, I enjoyed a cool Feldschlösschen beer on tap 🍺.
