Today we hiked a stretch of "paradise on earth." We started at the hiking car park on the K 45 near Helmeroth. First, we descended to the Nister River. A highlight was the suspension bridge at the Helmeroth Mill. Built in 1920 as a farmers' access route to the mill, demolished in 1964. Rebuilt as a wooden bridge in 1979. …
