June 18, 2025,Stettin: von Stettin nach Schwedt
Today, with a lot of wind, we're riding @bienenfee from Stettin to Schwedt. The first 10 km or so out of the Stettin area are noisy and involve roadside cycling, but the bike path is fine. From the Rosowek industrial estate, it becomes very quiet. We soon reach the Oder-Neisse cycle path, which we follow to Schwedt.

Today we really had to "bite the bullet", "eat dirt", or however you want to express it.
The weather conditions gave us such a strong headwind from the south on the way home that it felt like it took us three hours to cover the 30 km from Stettin to Garz. We had trouble getting out of Stettin because of …

Today's tour takes us from Schwedt to Stettin.

Beyond Garz, the cycle path is a bit bumpy due to root damage. But luckily, only for a short stretch.

We chose the alternative route via Stettin. We know the actual Oder-Neisse cycle path via Penkun, so we decided on Stettin.

The cycle paths were surprisingly good, and the city was easier to navigate than many German cities. From midday onwards we went for a long stroll around the …

Schwedt is certainly not a tourist magnet, the old town is tiny, but at least you get an idea of the trade cross to and from the east. Otherwise, many "new buildings" and a fairly modern infrastructure. There are few restaurants. We continue on the Oder cycle path and enjoy the nature in the Oder valley again before we turn …

On the last day, we continued under similar conditions to our destination in Szczecin – the last two photos are from the subsequent walk through the city.

Overall, the Oder-Neisse Cycle Route was well signposted, with some slight weaknesses in northern Brandenburg.
